On August 25, 2008, Mozilla released their latest version of the increasingly popular web browser, Firefox. Firefox 3.0 shows marked improvements in the areas of usability and security. Firefox has been a favorite of many designers – including myself – for many reasons, including: PNG image (transparent image type) support and CSS/XHTML coding support (Web Standards).

Yes, Internet Explorer 7 now supports “Web Standards” and, after years of complaints from the design community, also supports PNG images. But, the general public is migrating more toward Firefox all the time mainly because of security reasons…one of Microsoft’s major downfalls.
